The first step is to scoop out the seed cavity contents and dump into a collander, then vigourously wash the seeds and cavity pulp
under running water, preferably wearing rubber gloves start seperating and discarding cavity pulp.

 

After all pulp is removed, vigourously wash again and allow to drain for several minutes..

 

Spread out the seeds on wax paper.

 

Allow the seeds to dry for two weeks. Make up a double paper lunch bag and label it appropriately.

 

Using fingers, loosen seeds and scoop up and put in the paper bag,

 

Fold down top and store in cool dry place. I use my basement shelf.

 

After about a month or so the seed is transferred to manila envelopes for more compact storage.
